Under The Sea In Mozambique

A Mozambique holiday is a thing of luxury indeed – beautiful white sandy beaches, stunning architecture, delicious food. It’s got it all! But while you might be tempted to spend your entire time away out in the open air, the best side of Mozambique may well perhaps be under the sea.

Make sure you pack a good underwater camera so you can take pictures of the local marine life. You’re sure to spot giant turtles, parrotfish, angelfish and a whole lot more, including grey reef sharks, lobster, octopus and butterflyfish.

One of the best places to go is Tofo beach, just north of the capital of Maputo. If you love your snorkelling and can’t wait to see what Mozambique has to offer in this regard, this is a must-visit for you. There are wonderful snorkel and shallow-dive spots here, including The Chamber of Secrets and the Bazaruto archipelago.

There are various diving and snorkel schools you can pop along to if you need a bit of help or guidance. You can even book a Mozambique horse safari and ride into the Indian Ocean on horseback! If you’re planning to go on a Mozambique honeymoon, this would be a great adventure for you and your other half.

Whatever you do while on holiday in Mozambique, do not go home without taking a dip in the sea. You’ll be amazed at what you find beneath the deep so don’t neglect the big blue in this part of the world. We’re certain that you’ll keep coming back time and time again.
