Finch Hattons

Named after Denys Finch Hatton, a big game hunter and guide who inspired an era of luxury on safari in Kenya, Finch Hatton’s is situated in the heart of Tsavo West National Park with stunning panoramas dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is positioned approximately 280 km from Nairobi and about 300 km from Mombasa.
Tsavo Plains is renowned for its herds of “red elephants”, their skins stained by the ochre dust and mud. These gentle giants are famous for their enormous tusks. The park is home to over 12,000 elephant – one of the largest populations in East Africa. Other commonly seen species giraffe, hartebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, lions, impala, lesser kudus, bushbuck, leopard, wildebeest, oryx, gerenuks and many more.
