Guests rise early to participate in a three to six hour game drive along Damaraland’s Aba Huab River to find springbok, gemsbok, jackal, rare desert elephants and the ancient plant, the welwitschia mirabilis.
A visit to the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site reveals 2 500 rock engravings dating back 6 000 years - important evidence that people are innately connected to wildlife.
Camp Kipwe has been fully refurbished after a fire some years ago and now offers a large dining room with veranda, comfy lounge with couches and a small curio shop. A clean plunge pool hides in the rocks and guests can watch the colourful lizards while they cool off.
