Klein Aus-Vista is a gem situated near Namibia’s Diamond Restricted Area (Sperrgebiet). Albeit in the middle of nowhere, it is here that visitors will find solitude, vastness, silence and magnificent sunsets – and maybe individuals will find themselves too… Explore the town of Luderitz with its typical German architecture and observe Cape Fur seals on the Atlantic shoreline.

Desert Horse Inn is located 2 km west of Aus on the B 4 (Aus / Wild Horses). Where the subtle colours of the grassy Pro-Namib merge with Namib sands in a lovers’ embrace, you’ll find Klein Aus Vista. Surrounded by the rocky Aus hills, Desert Horse Inn is an attractive base for a sojourn in south-western Namibia en route to the famed dunes of Sossusvlei.

Klein-Aus Vista – Desert Horse Inn

Travel to Namibia and stay at Klein Aus Vista, a stunning base from which to view remarkable sites in the rambling vistas of the Luderitz region in Namibia.
Accommodation is found in the Gondwana Sperrgebiet Rand Park where excursions to the Wild Horses of the Namib and the diamond ghost town of Kolmanskop are popular.

Desert Horse Inn is a luxury modern guesthouse located in a picturesque valley and offers 24 modern comfortable rooms, all tastefully decorated. A restaurant, bar and lounge serve all four of the accommodation venues, most of which are self-catering. Sit on the deck and absorb endless views then explore on foot the wonderful Koichab Dune Belt in the old Koichab riverbed where Camelthorn trees thrive.
From here, guests can head off to find the wild horses of the Namib which roam the sparsely vegetated plains of the desert in small groups - they come to drink from the trough at Garub, some 20 kilometres west of Aus. Guests can watch from a hide and take pictures. The other main attraction is the deserted diamond settlement of Kolmanskop which arose from the sands in 1908 but is now being taken over by the moving sands.
