Tarangire Treetops Exterior of Rooms

Tarangire Treetops is situated just outside the Big 5 Tarangire National Park in Tanzania. Magnificently poised in a private concession area, the lodge offers exceptional accommodation with the additional advantage of exploits not offered by the camps in the park.
Tarangire National Park makes for a safari destination worth visiting with its prolific game and pristine landscape. Popular for its elephant population, the park raises the bar on exciting wildlife experiences. At Tarangire Treetops, guests can soak in breathtaking panoramas of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara to the east and the distinctive peak of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro to the west.
The lodge has 20 thatched treehouse suites that are elevated on platforms above the groundin the leafy canopy of the baobabs. The suites have private wrap around balconies and open bathrooms with contemporary amenities that include a double shower. The décor in each room is a rich and artistic blend of Tanzanian fabrics, Maasai craftsmanship and Swahili opulence - creating a seductive, and very African ambience.
Central to this Tanzania safari lodge is the Baobab Bar, a wide semi-circular bar built amidst the eaves of a massive Baobab tree, serving cocktails and sundowners before dinner. Adjacent to the bar is the dining area, suspended from a Baobab tree and serving top safari cuisine. A selection of fine wines and cognacs complement the meal.Below the lounge and dining room is a peaceful swimming pool deck, an ideal place to relax with a good book. The curio shop sells a selection of interesting items and is located just behind the reception area.
The position of Tarangire Treetops outside Tarangire National Park makes it possible for the lodge to offer spotlit night drives including walking safaris, mountain biking amongst Africa's game and overnight fly-camp excursions into the bush. Balloon safaris, Maasai village tours as well as bush lunches and dinners are also available the lodge.
