Jack’s Camp is a beacon of style and comfort in the middle of Botswana’s Kalahari Desert. Blending into the oasis of palms, the authentic, 1940’s style tented safari camp, includes a private museum, shop, iconic tea tent and a pool pavilion. Spectacular vistas, creative surprises, expert guiding, old world safari styling and superb cuisine all come together to create an experience that is completely unique. The camp features 7 twin and 3 double tents with en suite bathrooms, as well as indoor and private outdoor showers.
Year-round activities include interaction with habituated meerkats, walking with Bushmen guides, game drives, a visit to Chapman's Fallen Baobab, one of the oldest and biggest trees in Africa, bird watching and night drives - all in this unique desert environment. During the dry season activities include quad biking across the salt pans whilst the wet season bears witness to the spectacular zebra and wildebeest migration.

Jack Bousfield , while on a trapping expedition in the Makgadigadi Pans, stumbled on a site that captured his imagination so much that he set up camp under an acacia tree and Jack’s Camp was born to capture the feeling that everyone else should find its beauty.
The Makgadigadi Pans is a relic of one of the world’s largest super-lakes that dried up thousands of years ago as a result of the continued shifting of the earth’s crust.
A Botswana safari to Jack's Camp is a comprehensive desert experience, and focussed on unique species of wildlife found only in this area, such as gemsbok, aardvark, and springbuck. Guests are practically guaranteed to spot the rare and elusive brown hyena and walk through the Kalahari with wild meerkats.
Wildbeest and zebra herds pass by, drawn by the lush grass, and for several months the desert of the Kalahari teams with game and predators.
Jack’s Camp provides an inviting oasis in an naturally harsh environment. Large marquee tents built on raised wooden platforms house the main areas, with a dining and lounge tent decorated with a wide variety of maps and natural history objects. Steps lead down to the fire-pit where you can enjoy evening drinks under the stars while reminiscing on your day. The enormous swimming pool is just a short stroll away.
The ten guest tents are romantic - there is no electricity and paraffin lamps spread a warm and inviting glow around your room. Antiques canopied 4-poster beds dominated the en suite bedroom. You can also choose to have a night out on the pans under the Milky Way and an greet the new day in the most unforgettable way.
