Sasaab Camp is located within the Ngutuk Ongiron Group Ranch, part of the Northern Frontier of Kenya. Bordering Samburu National Reserve to the south east, the camp affords access to the endangered Grevy’s zebra and large herds of elephants. Idyllically perched upon a rocky ridge above the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, Sasaab has views that extend toward the Laikipia plateau and Mount Kenya.
Constructed using locally sourced materials, this Samburu safari camp has a delightful architecture with Moroccan style influences. Kenya accommodation is 9 Moroccan tents, each over 100 m2 consisting of a bedroom, sitting room and a fully serviced bathroom. 5 of the tents offer double beds while the other 4 feature twin beds. All the 4-poster beds are draped in Egyptian cotton sheets. Luxury amenities include cooling fans, Wi-Fi and plunge pools at the edge of the private verandas.
The public facilities of Sasaab Camp consist of a swimming pool and a lounge and dining area encompassed in a main mess tent with superb Moroccan chic. In-room massages and babysitting services are available.
